Tomato Design
Gallery Installation at gallery of Tomato Design / Underworld
Not only is Underworld one of our favourite bands, but their design wing, Tomato Design, have influenced the development of our visual language tremendously. We were only more than happy to create a custom installation for the gallery of Tomato Design in Soho. Titled “Presenting ‘The Amazing Kriels’”, the work ranged from sound and photographic installation, through a custom-made sign playing on the visual aesthetic of Soho’s seedier streets.

Channel 4
Channel 4 Talent
Channel 4 Talent is one of the things that’s right about media and broadcasting. Giving young creatives an opportunity to not only stretch their wings, but also to receive a casual but thorough education in their chosen field, 4 Talent ticks all the boxes for public service broadcasting at its best. Black Swan Media created a series of articles for young visualists, training them in the arts of VJing and DVJing.

The Place
Dance on Screen - London Festival of Dance Film and Video
Dance on Screen, a festival of dance film at London’s The Place, is one of the highlights on the world’s international dance calendar. Black Swan Media was commissioned to create an expanded cinema performance, using five of The Place’s leading dance students, as part of the night. Working with the dancers as choreographers, we created a work that could be danced and filmed in front of the audience, and remixed on the screen immediately after. The work went on to several screenings at dance film festivals around the globe.

AV Festival
Newcastle
As a commission from Newcastle’s AV Performance Festival, Black Swan Media created a half-hour performance called Tuscaloosa. Themed on segregationist conflict in the American South, "Tuscaloosa" was projected three stories high in a live AV performance at one of Newcastle’s finest venues.
